About the Founder

Dr. Michael Wingert

Extended Study, LLC was founded by Michael Wingert, PhD in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures, professor in higher education, and dean of Agora University’s Holy Transfiguration College.

Dr. Wingert began developing the core ideas behind Extended Study in 2015 while a doctoral student at UCLA. There he received pedagogical training, developed coursework, and taught graduate students best practices in university-level teaching.

He noticed that many students struggled under conventional approaches. In response he introduced alternative pathways grounded in relatable, real-life principles that extend learning far beyond the classroom walls. The LLC was formally established in 2026 to bring these methods to families and lifelong learners.
